Brass catcher

I'm sure this topic comes up often enough. I recently bought this brass catcher from CMM Shooting Sports. A lot of the other brass catchers that I have seen were little more than a modified fishng net. I wrote the comany and told them how impressed I was with their product. Very adjustable, well thought out, and high quality.

I know one BE shooter who DOES use a fish net. He still has to pick up brass.

Does he go fishing after the match?

I have had one since I have been shooting BE, works very good.
Do yourself a favor and go to your local sporting goods store and buy a 5 pound steel weight and JB Weld it to the top of the stand for the occasional wind.

After wasting money on a homerig brass catcher, that is unwieldy and unstable, I bit the bullet and bought a CMM one. Well worth it.

I have a problem with my CMM brass catcher. On the upper frame, there are fold out arms to keep the net open while in use. In ref to the rivet that the attaches the arm to the frame, one of the holes was not drilled in the center of the frame and is now loose. So the arm that folds out will not stay folded out.

I emailed the company and only a few hours later I got a reply. They asked for my shipping address and they are sending me a new frame, free.

I was going back and forth for a year trying to decide if I should buy one or make one. I finally just purchased one with the attachment to carry it on your kit. Love the catcher. The attachment leaves a lot to be desired. Emailed the company and haven't received a response.
